A TRIAL LESSON
In a 30-minute trial lesson of Russian as a foreign language, students will get acquainted with the teaching method, practice speaking, and focus on key aspects of the language according to their level.
These lessons are structured around more intensive topics, focus on advanced grammar. I’ll create a specialised lesson plan based on the Russian goals of a student.
CONVERSATIONAL LESSON
These are conversational lessons only. These lessons are available only for students on B1 level or above. Before the lesson, we can choose and watch a video, read an article, and discuss it during the lesson.

    I have been extremely happy with the program I have taken with ‘Russian with Jane’ after replying to her ‘consultation’ request. I have been studying Russian for just over 2 years and my biggest problem was listening and speaking. But in the initial conversation, I explained that I wanted to be able to speak with other Russians and get to know them. The idea of the course was to concentrate on one subject that interested me, that I can use to discuss with other Russians. One of my favourite books is Crime and Punishment, but I also, like many Russians, like Master and Margarita. It became clear to me that this was the book to use for my growth in the language. I have been in the course now for close to 2 months and I can not express my appreciation enough. I have not only increased my ability to understand the language and speak as well, but I have gained a new understanding of the book as well analysing the Russian as opposed to the English translation. We talk about phrases that are understood by Russians who have read the book as well as discussed the history of Russia at the time of the writing. Bringing in Bulgakov’s live and his relationship with Stalin. We have talked about religion at the time of the writing as well again with regards to Bulgakov’s upbringing and Stalins thoughts on religion. All of this just increased the value of this course for me.

    But what has been even better is that the teaching has not only been about the book itself, i have had homework on particular areas of grammar that only previously lightly touched on, in particular gerunds. I have worked with 2 teachers, including Jane, and enjoy classes with both. I can’t recommend this course enough to anyone that wants to improve their Russian in a less ‘workbook’ related course. They have created a programme for my needs and I would say they hit it perfectly. I have already started to discuss my next area of interest as I plan on continuing after this program is completed.

    The course was well-structured and effective. The recordings were useful since they are essentially a mini-lesson you can repeat. It's also quite intensive, therefore it could've been 1-2 weeks shorter because toward the end I was pretty tired and it was hard to keep pushing through.

    Team:
    The team was helpful and reasonably prompt. They kept things moving along and the topics interesting. This meant that I didn't have to worry about anything.

    Jane:
    The extra lessons were nice to have something different. You seemed well-prepared and the time went quickly.
